Dinky is an eclectic, classically trained musician who never limits herself to one style or genre. Born in Chile, raised in New York and now based in Berlin, she is the epitome of what an international artist is.

To celebrate the release of her brand new EP 'Slowly' she serves us a flawless blend of (vocal) house and disco echoing her own musical journey. Some personal highlights:

Eddie Amador - House Music
Dinky: "This is one of the tracks that most inspired me to be a DJ when I was really young. I listened and dance to it for months at Body and Soul in New York before it was out, everyone was freaking out about this tune. It was one of the most exciting tracks of the time."

Läpsley - Operator (DJ Koze Extender Disco Version)
"This song is modern and its a really beautiful touching song which also has lots of humour, I would also classify it as disco but it has many house elements so I guess is a cross, I love to play this song, it gets people so happy and emotional. The vocal performance is amazing."

Liberty City - That's What I Got (Murk Vocal Mix)
"Liberty City is one of my favourite dance acts from the old days, they have such a way with bass and vocals and used to make really funky sensual records with a Latin feel. They inspired me very much when I started DJing in the 90s."

Dinky just released the EP on Crosstown Rebels, created around Slowly, the most special song found on her album 'Valor'. “It represents in its pure essence where melancholy and freedom meet. The song was written in a difficult moment where I had to let go of a lot of fears and just accept. It’s a song about detachment where losing can be a gain.”

The EP features remixes by highlight respected DJ and producer Matthew Styles - “Matthew knew the song and its meaning so well that he captured its spirit perfectly” - and two remixes by Matt Edwards aka Radio Slave.
